Marine Biodiversity Credit Working Group
Eco-Markets Australia’s Head of Programs, Amy Basnett, has been invited to join the Biodiversity Credit Alliance’s Marine Biodiversity Credit Working Group. This global project brings together industry experts to develop a set of High-Level Principles that will underpin credible, high-integrity marine based biodiversity credit markets, ensuring they deliver real, measurable, and lasting benefits for ocean ecosystems.
The Working Group’s key objective is to finalise these principles and deliver at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France, this June. Eco-Markets Australia’s participation provides an opportunity to share insights from our experience administering the Reef Credit Scheme, over the last 5 years, and contribute to the broader development of biodiversity credit markets across land and water.
