Eco-Markets Australia welcomes Maree Adshead as new Chief Executive Officer
Eco-Markets Australia, the nation’s first independent administrator of environmental markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maree Adshead as Chief Executive Officer.
Having achieved outstanding results during the intensity and challenging conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic as inaugural Queensland Small Business Commissioner, Maree Adshead knows how to navigate complex environments and is a passionate advocate.
She is an experienced CEO and lawyer with a breadth of board and advisory experience.
“I can’t wait to get started”, says Ms Adshead, “environmental sustainability and emissions reduction is now a top priority for most business operators and consumers alike.
“I am delighted at the opportunity to bring my experience and expertise to Eco-Markets Australia for the benefit of all Australians.”
Her passion for business sustainability along with her extensive experience advocating on behalf of business and industry will be valuable skills as Eco-Markets Australia’s grows its portfolio of environmental programs and works to amplify the growth of the Reef Credit Scheme.
Eco-Markets Chair, Ms Jo Sheppard welcomes Ms Adshead to the role.
