Junior Office Assistant and Program Support Officer

About the Role
Reporting to the leadership team (CEO, Head of Programs – Environmental Markets and Standards, and the Head of Communications and Strategy), this role is pivotal in supporting the growth and administration of our environmental programs. You will be responsible for office administration, governance support, stakeholder engagement, and assisting with financial and board-related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support, including responding to enquiries via phone and email.
Coordinate meetings, book travel arrangements, and register team members for conferences and events.
Support the Eco-Markets Australia team, Technical Advisory Committee and Board through scheduling, reporting, and communications.
Assist in evaluating project applications and ensuring compliance with Scheme requirements.
Maintain accurate records of projects, credit issuance, transactions, and stakeholder communications.
Contribute to public consultation processes and stakeholder engagement.
Support financial administration, including preparing invoices, reconciling transactions in Xero, and liaising with the external bookkeeper.
Assist with the preparation of board papers and provide administrative support to the Board Chair and Directors.
Accurate and efficient note-taking during meetings.
Provide support to the Head of Communications and Strategy in enhancing Eco-Markets Australia’s brand and programs.
About You
Essential:
Experience in office administration.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently when required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
A passion for environmental sustainability and nature markets.
Brisbane-based.
Desirable:
Experience using accounting tools such as Xero and Hub Doc.
Knowledge of nature markets or the environmental markets sector (regulatory or voluntary).
